Hello, GAL is not updating even when I manually update the Outlook Address Book in each of the two Outlook profiles on the BES/ZCB machine.The GAL appears to be complete otherwise, but newly-created users do not appear. During the logging I performed a manual update of the Black Berry Manager profile's Address Book. So, it can take multiple days before a change in on Enterprise level (Banner/NESSIE) will propagate to be visible in Outlook.In general, OWA offers realtime updates, while Outlook takes 26 hours.It looks like Microsoft was inspired by the popular Xobni plug-in =) The OSC will show photos from local contacts, the Global Address List, or 3rd party connectors.

When I download the Offline Address Book again, the problem returns. This does show up in the event-logs of the Mailbox server that does OAB generation, but the logging generally isn't turned on high enough to tell you I've had this problem before - not for Exchange 2010 I will admit (it was Exchange 2003) but the symptoms were exactly the same, so with a bit of luck so is the solution.

To make this more confusing, some users are able to see the conference room in the Global Address List without removing their offline address book. Unfortunately I never got to the bottom of it wasn't working, but I rebooted all of my Global Catalog servers and it magically started working again.

Is Outlook ignoring their OAB and getting a live copy of the GAL? If you have more than 1 Active Directory site, just the site you're experiencing issues in should do it. If you don't do this, it can take a substantial amount of time for the clients to update the OAB.

This appears at the bottom of an email message (see figure 1 below).

These screenshots are from Outlook 2013, but the process works identically in 2010 or 2007. Choose "Update All", wait a moment, and you're done. I can manually update each contact with the nice "Update" button and it automatically synchs the contact with AD, but I can't do that for all contact with a simple buttonclick? Switch to your contacts view, then go to the "Send/Receive" tab.
